Five Minute Friday

Trying something new and fun on this beautiful Friday!  Doing a link-up post with the five minute friday blog.  Each Friday they post a new word that, you write for five minutes about that word, then you join their link-up with your post!  This seems fun!  Today’s word is ROUTINE!  Setting my timer for 5 minutes…ready, set, write!

Routine is needed.

I love routine.

The winter has been gray and yucky.  It’s been so cold and the snow has kept coming and coming.  Winter was in a routine of keeping us locked up in the house.  Winter has been in a routine of passing us colds and viruses.

My soul craves a new routine!

My skin craves a routine dose of SUNSHINE!

We saw the sun today and its brightness has caused the sky to be more white than gray.

We didn’t let the lingering chill in the air keep us indoors today.  We set out for the park and met friends.  We got out of the Winter routine and jumped into a new spring routine.  We played and played at the park and the time passed without us even noticing it.

We said to our friends let’s do this more often.

I so long for a routine of being outside in the sunshine.

Oh that we make it happen, day after day, week after week.

Routine does my body good.

BEEP BEEP BEEP!  Timer went off.  There goes my first five minute friday link-up!

And I’m just gonna leave this sweet deal for you below!

  1. Welcome to FMF! 🙂 We are right there with you – now that we can, after school the girls ride bikes and play outside as much as possible. I forgot how much we missed this outdoor time. Thankful for spring and its new routines.

  2. I agree, I’m so ready to be finished with winter and get into a new spring routine! A little bit of sunshine makes all the difference. I love the photos! Glad you joined us at FMF!

  3. Beautiful children, dear Myriah Mae. Great idea to get outside while the sun is shining. I’ve never regretted taking my children on a nature excursion. Nowadays I take my grandson out in my garden whenever I get a chance. 🙂
